Keto Low Carb Mug Bread

Who says you can’t have bread on the keto diet?  This Keto Low Carb Mug Bread will knock your socks off.  It will curb those cravings you have for traditional bread while keeping your carbs in check.

This low carb mug bread is so simple to make.  It literally takes seconds and your family will love this special treat.  This is simple enough your kids can make it for themselves. So simple, there is no need for any special baking pans, mixers, or even an oven.

How To Make Keto Low Carb Mug Bread:

Step One:  With Shortening or Butter grease the inside of a mug

Step Two:  Combine in the mug the coconut flour, almond flour and baking powder with a fork

Step Three:  Mix together the oil and beaten egg in a small mixing bowl

Step Four:  Mix together the oil/egg mixture and the dry ingredients in the mug and mix until completely combined 

Step Five:  Microwave on high for 60-90 seconds.  Extra Cooking time may be added if needed.

Step Six:  Turn over the mug and remove the bread – cut into slices and toast if you want or eat it without toasting

What Type of Mug Do I Need for This Keto Low Carb Mug Bread?

Just your average coffee mug will do.  Taller might be better so the mixture doesn’t overflow.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Almond flour
  • 1 tbsp Coconut flour
  • 1 Egg beaten
  • ½ tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • Seasonings or parmesan cheese (optional additions)

Instructions

  1. Grease the inside of a mug.
  2. Add the coconut flour, almond flour and baking powder. Mix with a fork to combine.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the oil and beaten egg.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients in the mug, and mix to combine completely.
  5. Microwave for 60-90 seconds until cooked through.
  6. Tip the mug over and dump out the bread.
  7. Cut the bread into slices and toast if desired.
