Keto Herb and Garlic Steak Packets

These Keto Garlic and Herb Steak Packets are a simple, mouth-watering keto dinner that you can pull together in just a few minutes.

With this keto dinner recipe, I decided to go back to the basics with keto garlic steak and a keto vegetable mix, thrown together in a foil packet. Bake it or grill it and voila, a complete meal with just a few minutes of prep!

Like the rest of the ingredients, the seasonings in this keto steak packet are simple – basil, thyme, rosemary, and, of course, garlic. A simple combination but one full of flavor without each spice overpowering the other.

I used sirloin steak in this recipe but you can use other cuts of steak or even pork or chicken in your own keto garlic and herb vegetable packets.

The vegetables I chose were cauliflower, broccoli, and asparagus for their texture, flavor, and nutrient content. All three vegetables require roughly the same amount of cooking time and are filling, plus have high nutrient content.

That said, if any of those veggies aren’t your favorite, feel free to switch to your favorite keto vegetables in these garlic & herb steak packets.

This is a keto dinner recipe I like to keep on hand for guests. It’s simple so there’s no stress on my part but full of flavor and pleases everyone’s tastebuds, keto or not.

How To Make Keto Herb and Garlic Steak Packets

Step 1: Preheat oven to 400 degrees

Step 2: Prepare meat and veggies by cutting all into even, bite-sized pieces. Keep the sizes as similar as possible for accurate cooking.

Step 3: In a mixing bowl, coat sirloin steak with basil, rosemary thyme, salt, and pepper.

Step 4: Sear sirloin in a pan on medium-high heat, quickly searing on all sides before removing from heat.

Step 5: Toss all vegetables in olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Step 6: Create individual packets by placing a handful of vegetables, meat, and additional salt and pepper if desired on large pieces of aluminum foil and creating a closed packet with room for steam to escape.

Step 7: Bake all packets for 15-20 minutes.

What variations can I make to these Keto Garlic & Herb Steak packets?

As mentioned above, you can easily switch out any of the veggies for any other keto vegetable. You can also change out the seasonings if you prefer something else and the beef could be switched for chicken or pork, though cooking times may need to be adjusted.

What should I serve with these Keto Garlic Steak & Vegetable Packets?

I tend to think of these keto steak packets as a simple and complete meal. However, you could serve them with a keto cauliflower rice or other keto side.

Can I reheat these Keto Garlic Steak & Vegetable Packets?

These keto steak packets are best served fresh but you can reheat the next day if you have leftovers.

Keto Herb and Garlic Steak Packets

These Keto Garlic and Herb Steak Packets are a simple, mouth-watering keto dinner that you can pull together in just a few minutes.

  • 2 lbs. Top sirloin steak cut into bite sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp. Olive oil
  • 2 c. Cauliflower florets
  • 4 c. Broccoli florets
  • 12 Spears of asparagus cut into bite sized pieces
  • 1 Onion sliced
  • 1 tsp. Basil
  • 1 tsp. Thyme
  • 1 tsp. Rosemary
  • 4 Cloves garlic minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Aluminum foil

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Prep your meat and vegetables. Cut the florets off of the heads of cauliflower and broccoli, and cut the asparagus spears into bite sized pieces. You want to use fresh vegetables and not frozen. Cut the sirloin steak into bite sized pieces as well.
  3. Place the sirloin steak pieces into a mixing bowl, and add in the rosemary, basil and thyme.
  4. Mix in salt and pepper to taste, and toss the meat well to incorporate the seasoning.
  5. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add in the sirloin steak in a single layer, and quickly sear it on all sides. Remove it from the heat.
  6. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cauliflower, broccoli, asparagus and onion.
  7. Pour a tablespoon of olive oil over the vegetables, and add salt and pepper to taste. Mix the vegetables together to coat them all well.
  8. Place a large sheet of aluminum foil onto a flat surface. Place a handful or two of the vegetables onto the center of the foil.
  9. Top the vegetables with some of the seared meat. Top with more salt and pepper to taste if desired.
  10. Fold the two horizontal sides of the aluminum foil up, and roll them closed a few times at the top. Fold in the side of the foil to form a closed packet. This will allow your meal to steam when in the oven. Leave some room for air in the packets, to not roll them too tightly.
  11. Repeat steps 8-10 with the remaining packets, until you have six packets completed.
  12. Bake for 15-20 minutes, remove the packets from the oven, open and serve.
